My friend Terry got pregnant when she was barely eighteen years old. Her boyfriend, Elmer, who was only nineteen at that time offered to marry her, but Terry&rsquos parents, wanted them to wait till the baby was born. Her parents were thinking that since the two of them were still so immature and irresponsible, their relationship might just end after some time. Marriage was not the solution they were looking for. Eventually, Terry and Elmer decided to part ways five months after the baby was born. The baby naturally stayed with Terry. In the beginning, Elmer wasn&rsquot allowed to see the baby. Terry even thought of bringing the baby somewhere far, just to prevent Elmer from seeing their child. But his lawyers asserted rights for fathers uk in a letter addressed to Terry. In the end, both parties came up with a compromise. The court decided that while the child shall live with the mother, Elmer will be given visitation rights, which is two days in a week. He may also bring the child anywhere as long as the mother is informed ahead of time.
