Trying to be a businessman is not easy

Business and Finance
It's no easy starting a business. I've asked help from friends with more experience on this and I'm sure I'm better off before I did. I have the feasibility studies that show my plan would work. Now the next thing to worry about is capital. I know there are grants for businesses but I'm just not sure how to get one. My friends provided their own capital so they're not familiar how the grant situation works. I went to several government agencies but I'm getting varied information. I was hoping I could just talk to someone who could talk to me in simple words what the process of getting a grant would entail. What are the documents required? How about the types of businesses that are approved? Are there any specific locations where the business should be built to qualify for a grant? How do they determine if the capital being asked for would be good? These are some of the questions in my head. My current mission is to find someone who can answer them.
