Problems signing into my facebook account again

I have had my facebook account now for a number of years and it works fine but every now and again it fails to log me in. I have no idea why but it only lasts for a few hours then it seems ok again. The facebooksigninpage loads up ok but then just keeps refreshing every time i click on the log in button. I have asked friends and they do not know what to suggest really. I don't honestly think it is a fault at facebook's end because the site loads ok and when it does work there is nothing wrong with my profile. I think my computer is at fault but i don't know what the fault is exactly. It will normally do this say once every month and as sai it will only normally last a few hour if that, sometimes if i just refresh the page it works then. It is a very bizarre problem. I wish i knew what the fault was though because if i did i could fix it myself im sure.
