For my mom’s birthday this weekend, I bought her a new convection toaster oven. I have often heard that she wants to have one, but I know that she wouldn’t buy it for herself. I guess my mom was so used not buying things for herself since we have always been her priority. Even now that we all have our own lives, she cannot kick the habit of neglecting herself for other people. I am quite sure that she will be pleasantly surprised with my gift. I wish that I could give her much more, but I don’t want to make her feel guilty so I am slowly molding her to get used to being pampered and cared for. My mom raised all three of us singlehandedly because my dad passed away when we were all very young. With no family support, nor a college education, my mother supported all three of us and even managed to send all of us to college. Her sacrifice was beyond amazing as she needed to juggle numerous jobs just so we will all be provided for that’s why she deserves all the admiration and love in the world. |
